Warranty not honoured

I purchased the full machine less than a year ago and the power switch broke recently. At the time of purchase I was told there’s a 1 year warranty through the manufacturer. I contacted them and they said they can’t do anything as I’m in Canada. So I called the shop and they just took my name down and have yet to hear back from them.
