Japan Treasure Expo - Day Two

Yesterday I found out that nobody can sell anything here. Its quite a show but what can the consumer do? Retailers can come here and just show what the consumer can buy at their stores. Interesting.

Yesterday there was a lot of media and once again fun but long. As you can see by the photos yesterday, I saw my first Ninja. How can I be in Japan without seeing a Ninja. Japan even has Rasta Dudes.

Last Day and Boyz II Men are here. Should be packed. Later.

Japan - Set Up

Well here it goes. I'm ready to go. Dress right, smell good, and ready to take on Asia. I just figured why these folks are so small. The portions of food is probably normal here and Canada is huge, and USA is Supersize. Thus the respective body types. I blew 50 bucks on a dinner last night and let me tell you, "Where's the Beef!" but then I thought maybe its all I really need. Don't forget these Japanese people are excellent at most everything they do. They pride themselves on excellence. I have noticed the people who served me at 9:30 last night were the same people serving me this morning. I also notice the same check-in guy the next morning after I came in late. Long working hours, amazing.

Now check this toilet out in the room, again, a built in Bidet. I had that experience the last time I was here in Japan about 5 years ago. Even look at the mirror in the washroom, it is heated so you can see yourself after the shower. Only in Japan you say......

Anyway, like I always say, "It's Show Time!"

Adult Treasure Expo - Japan

Wow,

Yes that is what I said when I walked into the show just an hour ago. When I heard they were going to have 200,000 people attending this show, I thought someone was dreaming. Now I can see it. They have done this very well and as I was looking for my booth I ran into a fellow exhibitor who spoke English and he told me the Entertainment was awesome. They have some top name Japanese bands and even Boyz II Men are going to be here!

I left home yesterday at 7:00am and when I got to the hotel room in Japan and that is after transferring in Shanghai, China and clearing customs, and having to pay $400.00 Canadian for over weight luggage, and another 3 hours or so travel time to Japan, and I can't tell you exactly how long it was as I just passed out. Oh I could of told you how long the flight was if I looked at the amount of drool that was on the guys shoulder next to me! Seriously, I passed out large. Anyway, I arrived 27.5 hours later. Was the worst trip ever. (Air Canada did have any running water on this flight. Do you believe that? They new this before taking off too.) I new that before I did it. Bottom line is Japan, so far, is great. The American breakfast was awesome, so I'm a happy camper. It doesn't take much. Check out the photos:

I'm excited. I'll keep trying to update more photos as the show progresses. I have to get back with my boxes and get my booth ready. Wish me luck. It is now 11:30am here which means 10:30pm in Toronto. The show opens at 11:00am tomorrow morning.

My blackberry doesn't work here and neither does my phone. See you tomorrow.

Japan

Time to travel to Japan tomorrow for a sex show. I'm excited, I'm all packed and ready to rock. I have my sample packed and the travelling time is huge. About 15 hours to Shanghai and then off to Tokyo. It will be so long. As soon as I arrive, I'll be having a few Supporo's which are a brand of beer in Japan and wind down.

Hopefully I won't stuggle to much with language problems. I'll update this blog when I arrive.

All be good.

Hadaka On Sunset Blvd.

Well its show time! The big show of the year in Los Angeles. Everyone the makes a toy or contributes to our industry is here.

Last night I went out to dinner with a wonderful nice couple. I really click with these guys. I admire what they have done in their own business. They are simply remarkable and they like me too, enough to ask me out to dinner which was an honour.
The one thing that separates them is they really like to have fun and when its fun time they love to freak people out. The place where we went out to dinner was called Hadaka Sushi, a Sushi place with a sexual tone to the restaurant. The place has been only open about three months and even the Chef-Owner Edward sat down with us, who is a great guy.
I guess the photos kind of sum up the dinner. Our waitress was a nice looking lady and actually really wanted to serve us and switched with a colleague. She sat down and enjoyed our company for a bit or should I say her company....

I didn't have my own camera but took some photos with my Blackberry. Enjoy.
Now it is 6:00am here in LA, I set the alarm an hour too early but at 7am, I will go golfing somewhere here in LA with my good friend Claude from Montreal and his girlfriend. She always dresses so nice for golf, I'm actually looking forward to she what she will wear today.

Here are some more photos of last night that I thought you'd enjoy....

Dildo, Newfoundland

Hi Everyone!

Love the people from Newfoundland! We actually sold a vibrator to "Dildo, Newfoundland". This was one of the highlights of the week.

Last Sunday and Monday we took off to Niagara for some golf. Wow, John Daly's new golf course is great. We all had fun. We played three games in 48 hours. Barney our fourth called us Sunday morning and said he was really sick and couldn't make it. Monday morning he called and said he was feeling better and he drove 3.5 hours to play with us in Niagara. Now that is love for the sport.

I'm getting mentally ready for my trips soon and getting excited. I have lots of travelling to do. The biggest show of the industry is starting in a week. We are ready. Then its Japan, and then China.

A really happy moment came last week as Emily emailed me a great compliment about a customer who purchased an Ultimate Shaver and we owed her a trimmer. We sent our new version and she absolutely loved it. That was the best and another highlight of the week.

Earlier this week my son was nailed by a bee. Here is what happened in 1.5 days after the sting and the following photo is after being admitted to the hospital.

After the sting happended, we took him to the walk in clinic an hour later when we noticed some swelling. We were told to take some over the counter medication. The next day it got worse and we took him to our doctor. He was given a slight change in medication. The third morning he was taken to Emergency when we noticed the swelling wasn't getting better, but actually extending down his face into the cheek area. They took him in immediately and put him on an IV and Steroids and Antibiotics. Within an hour you could see a slight improvement and hours later much improvement. That was a crazy situation.

All is good now.
