Show's over!

The show is over. I would rate this show a success. There were a lot of great vendors. Its always great to see all the people that I have met over the years in one place. I find it hard to go by and just look around at vendors quietly. I was showing our new prototype of our giant bullet and what a success it was.

This is a show that has two sections, toys and video. The video industry opens it up to the public for certain hours. They charge something like $50.00 per day and wow, do they ever make a ton of cash. All the porn stars are at this show which makes for some great photo opportunities.I go cruising around and its fun to take a few photos. The women enjoy being photographed and everyone is generally happy. I am lucky as I'm in the industry and can go before the public gets in.

Las Vegas

The next three months are going to be a pleasure and pain. The travelling and company will be pleasure, but I will miss my family way too much, thus the pain. I went over board, but I'm so lucky, I've really have the ultimate supporting wife, anyway here it goes.

Trip number one is a business trip to Vegas with a wonderful employee named Emily. Emily works with me at head office. She is realiable and has a great sense of humour, great work ethic and a smile that lights up a room. She's bringing her husband down, so I'm sure they will have a blast in Vegas and hopefully I'll get to know him better as well. My wife Aida use to attend, now she has no interest, she loves staying home with the boys. She has no idea how I miss her, even though I tell her all the time. We are attending CES, the Consumer Electronic Show, where every year we participate in the huge adult section. Vegas is crazy at this time and I really don't enjoy it as much as other dates, as it takes 30 minutes to catch a cab, and line ups for everything!
Trip number two, happens three days after I'm back. I'm off to scorching Panama and Costa Rica for a golf trip with some old buddies, (Well I mean old friendships) and to see a part of the world I've never been to. This will be a ton of fun and laughs as these guys are simply hilarious. Might even have the odd Cervasa!


Trip number 3 is early early February, the standard yearly trip to the one of the best golf courses I've ever played. Playa Grande in the Dominican Republic. Its intensive golf as last year we played almost 36 holes everyday. Its a job! Now as you can see in the photo, thats just one of the many beautiful sights on the golf course.

The final trip is in March and back to China and back to work. Working with the leading manufacturers, we will produce together some mind blasting sex toys. I take risks with things and often my senior staff members will tell me I'm nuts or they just don't support what I'm making. They say it softly, but to me I can read them, and to be honest, I have to be strong and really believe what I'm doing. When I fail, so what I'm not perfect and I gave it my best! So far, I'm winning. I'm sure I'm at 90%

So now I'm on the plane writing this on my way to Vegas. At least this time, I didn't miss my flight.

Happy New Year!

Wow, 2006 is TOAST! It was a great year. Sales were up in ALL stores for 2006. I have to thank my management team for this. Their OUTSTANDING dedication has proved itself once again. It is the first time we've done a clean sweep.

However, nothing happens in our stores without our customer service people who greet you the customer everyday. These people are the company. They are AWN. I must admit that they do not get enough praise from me and I hope to improve this in 2007. There is no greater feeling then when I get a compliment from a customer on our great service. They are the front line people who have to be great listeners, be professional sales people, meaning they must understand what a customer wants and sell that customer the right product and sometimes that is not an easy task. They must clean the store after a hard day, and must accept the odd complaint. They do a great job. I actually miss that part of the business. I used to come home wired from meeting so many great people throughout the day. Thank you everyone.

Ottawa's seminar room is finally near completion. What a fantastic room it is. Seminars are the way to go as we know our customers want more information about our products and sexual topics in general. Special guest speakers will be on hand occasionally to offer their input on various topics such as "How to give the Ultimate Massage" to "Stripping for your Man".
